OK, so what's stopping you from ACTING? OK, not acting as in stepping on a stage and being in a play, but taking action in your own life? (Of course, if your dream is to star in a production, get after that!)
(I usually feel the need, when I read something or say something to someone else that applies more to me than to anyone else, to add my name to the end of the question or statement ... so the above question would say, "What's stopping you from acting, Jodee?")
I have not written here because I've been busy taking my own advice and really moving on a couple of projects that have been taking up undue room in my ever expanding lap as I avoid acting on them.
I'm really experiencing the power of the things I've been teaching for the past year as seeds that were planted earlier are now starting to pop up.
I'm working with Joyce Schwarz to promote her book "
The Vision Board Book," scheduled to be released October 28 (I'm mentioned in Chapter 7!) and will be hosting
Greg Reid here in Fargo as he promotes his book and film "Three Feet From Gold" on October 30.
The master mind community here in Fargo continues to grow, and last night the fabulous master minders from Detroit Lakes, MN hosted a screening of the 2004 film "
Iron Jawed Angels" to an enthusiastic crowd of 112. If you haven't seen that film, it's being shown on HBO throughout October and November. There is absolutely no way every single woman in America should not vote this year when we're reminded of what our foremothers went through. This group decided to take on this project just 3 weeks ago, and got the promotion, media and publicity together with fabulous results.
I write about these things to let you know that change happens when we take action - and transformation happens when we give up the way it used to be in favor of what it's going to be - and are committed to that new way of being over time. I'm fortunate - I get to study classics like
Think and Grow Rich and facilitate master mind groups every single day. In fact, in addition to
Think and Grow Rich (which is our prerequisite), our master minders here in Fargo are reading (or have read over the past year) the following books (and supported each other in applying their learning):
Law of Attraction by Michael Losier
Working With The Law by Raymond Holliwell
Zero Limits by Joe Vitale
A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink
You Were Born Rich by Bob Proctor
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle
Happy For No Reason by Marci Shimoff
When Good People Do Bad Things by Debbie Ford
ONE: The Art and Practice of Conscious Leadership by Lance Secretan
The Answer by John Assaraf and Murray Smith
The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss
What are you doing to get different results in your life? I'm finally moving into action and putting into practice all the things I've been studying over the past year, and really what I've been studying my entire life.
A small step in a new direction, followed over time, will yield vastly new results, but the key is taking the step - getting out of your comfort zone - and sticking to it.
Get yourself a master mind community, or let's start a virtual master mind. Let's study Ross Cornwell's version of Think and Grow Rich over a 10-week period and see how much our minds shift. Let's get 7-10 of us from all over the world to commit to this process and experience that shift for ourselves.
There's the challenge ... who's in??
